In 2006 he became a pipe-fitter & for the next two & half years worked on a single SAGD construction project where he learned structural steel install, pipe fitting, hydro testing, rigging, heavy lift practices, above ground pipeline, pump installation and commissioning . In 2007, Tanner started TFL Industrial and in only six years he built TFL into a $20million per year operation, with over 110 employees. During TFL’s earliest years Tanner was the only Estimator, HR, BD, QC & Safety manager that worked in the office.
